A female cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) on the Phinda Private Game Reserve, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Cheetahs accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (0 to 97 km/h) in less than 3 seconds and average 40 mph (64 km/h) during a chase.
