The Family Computer Disk System is a peripheral for Nintendo's Family Computer home video game console released in Japan in 1986. It allows users to play one of more than 200 games using proprietary floppy disks called "Disk Cards". Through the Disk System's entire production span, 1986 (1986)–2003 (2003), 4.44 million units were sold.
